Day Ten: Best trip of your life:
The best trip of my life was probably one I took to Alaska. While the trip itself had many ups and downs the amount of beautiful shit I got to see was unreal. I flew from Denver to Anchorage, drove from Anchorage to Fairbanks, back down the Alaskan Highway to Haines to board the ferry, stopped by all kinds of cities on the inside passage (Skagway, Juneau, Sitka) and then we stopped on the island of Wrangell for a week, ferried back down to Prince Rupert, drove through British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies all the way home to Lararmie, WY. Beautiful shit. I want to eventually get back there someday.
Day Eleven: 10 fav foods:
- Chili fries
- Indian food, any kind, all of it
- Peanut butter
- Spicy stuff
- Did I say pizza?
- Truffles (the chocolate kind)
Day Twelve: Fav childhood book:
My favorite childhood book is, “Naya Nuki Shoshoni Girl Who Ran,” by Kenneth Thomasma. This story is about determination, believing in yourself and never giving up. An enemy tribe captures Naya Nuki and her people and she is determined to escape and return to her homeland. She escapes during the night and makes the trek home. During this long journey she overcomes many hardships and learns that she is capable of doing many things to survive and complete her journey to freedom. My mom and dad would read this to us every night. I loved the idea of living off the land.
Day Thirteen: What’s inside your fridge
I’m trying to eat a bit healthier so I have weird smattering of stuff. Mostly its almond milk, eggs, turkey bacon, lots of veggies, maybe some cheese, sparkling water (assorted flavors), ground beef, and maybe other random meat and veggie combinations.
