Thanks for visiting. I’m Jennifer Banks, assistant teacher at Childrens Discovery Ranch and community food advocate and food trailer aficionado at Soulcraft Brewing.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Salida, Colorado. In addition to my clinical work and advocacy, I teach public donation based yoga classes and am involved in food advocacy in the State of Colorado. In counseling, I practice client-centered therapy that is a non-directive form of talk and play therapy. This means the client leads his or her treatment in which I do not attempt to steer the client in anyway. This means that I cultivate a non-judgmental approach that emphasizes unconditional positive regard providing a source of acceptance and support.
My areas of specialization and interests include play therapy, child-parent relationship therapy, trauma informed interventions, recovery from trauma, advocacy oriented counseling, biofeedback, and therapeutic yoga intervention for mental-emotional health. I work with clients across the lifespan.
